Install Libreoffice 7.2.5 on Ubuntu / Linux Mint & Fedora

This tutorial will be helpful for beginners to install LibreOffice 7.2.5 on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, Ubuntu 21.10,  LinuxMint 20.2, and Fedora 35.

LibreOffice released the newer and 5th version in the 7 series as 7.2.5   and it comes with new features and bug fixes and program enhancements and all users are requested to update to this version as soon as possible.

Install LibreOffice 7.2.5 on Ubuntu / LinuxMint Via PPA

Step 1: Add the official PPA

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa

Step 2: Update the repository

sudo apt update

Step 3: Install Libreoffice 7.2.5

sudo apt install libreoffice

Uninstall LibreOffice 7.2.5 on debian based systems

sudo apt remove libreoffice*

sudo add-apt-repository –remove ppa:libreoffice/ppa

Install LibreOffice 7.2.5 on Fedora via Source File

Step 1: Use the below command for downloading the Source file from the download page

Step 2: Extract the files from the Libreoffice tar file

tar -xf LibreOffice_7.2.5_Linux_x86-64_rpm.tar.gz && cd LibreOffice_7.2.5.2_Linux_x86-64_rpm/RPMS/

Step 3: Install the RPM files

dnf localinstall *.rpm

Uninstall LibreOffice 7.2.5 on RPM based systems

Run the below command to uninstall the fedora

dnf remove libreoffice*

install Libreoffice 7.2.5 in ubuntu
