How to Install HPLIP 3.20.5 in Ubuntu / LinuxMint?
Step 1: Download the installer file from Sourceforge site or use the below command
Step 2: Make it executable
Step 3: Install HPLIP 3.20.5
Follow the on-screen instructions, provide the basic info to build the HPLIP on your system, once the setup is completed unplug and plug the printer and start the printing.
Uninstall HPLIP 3.20.5
To uninstall the installed version of hplip 3.20.5 we have to use the same installer file for uninstallation since we don’t have, use the below commands to extract the contents for run file

Do you think I could install hplip-3.20.5 in Linux Mint 20? I tried to install but I got the following messages:
“error: linuxmint-20 version is not supported, so all dependencies may not be installed. However trying to install using linuxmint-19.3 version packages”.

I exit the install process because I got afraid to damage my Linux Mint 20.

Linux Mint 20 is not in HP drivers supported devices list, DON’T install.
In post nowhere it is mentioned that Linux Mint 20 is supported
