How To Install Kodi 18.7 in Ubuntu 20.04 / LinuxMint

KODI formerly known as XBMC Media center is a free and open-source cross-platform software media player. It is managed by a non-profit XBMC foundation and developed by volunteers around the world.

It is now officially available for Android, BSD, Linux,macOS, and Windows operating systems. The latest version of KODI is 18.7 and comes with bug fixes and no new features.

How To Install Kodi 18.7 Ubuntu / LinuxMint?

Step 1: Add the Official Kodi repository

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-xbmc/ppa

Step 2: Update the repository

sudo apt update

Step 3: Install kodi 18.7

sudo apt install kodi

Install kodi 18.7 in Ubuntu

Uninstall Kodi 18.7

To uninstall kodi execute the below commands

sudo apt-get remove kodi* && sudo apt-get purge kodi*

rm -r ~/.kodi/
