This tutorial will be helpful for the beginners to Upgrade Ubuntu 18.04 LTS to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS using command line
Download and install Ubuntu 20.04
For fresh installation download the iso from here, Using RUFUS to convert the iso into a bootable USB drive
Follow the on-screen instructions and install it.
Upgrade Ubuntu 18.04 to 20.04
Step 1: Backup the VM or the contents if it is physical
Step 2: Upgrade existing packages
Step 3: Reboot the system to reflect the kernel and libs to update
Step 4: Upgrade to Ubuntu 20.04
Follow the onscreen instructions, based on that it will start to download the packages and once the upgrade is complete it will ask us to reboot the system to finish the process.
