Vivaldi browser based on chromium project and  a cross-platform web browser developed by Vivaldi technologies and it is available for all operating systems (ie) Linux, Android, Windows, and MacOSX

This tutorial will be helpful for beginners to install Vivaldi browser in their Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 19.10 and LinuxMint and Debian systems

The latest version of Vivaldi browser – 3.0 and it has the below features

How to Install Vivaldi Browser 3.0 in Ubuntu / LinuxMint?

Step 1: Download the installer file from the official site or use the below commands based on your OS architecture

For 32-bit deb systems

https://downloads.vivaldi.com/stable/vivaldi-stable_3.0.1874.23-1_i386.deb

For 64-bit deb systems

https://downloads.vivaldi.com/stable/vivaldi-stable_3.0.1874.23-1_amd64.deb

Step 2: Install the dpkg file

sudo dpkg -i vivaldi-stable_3.0.1874.23-1_amd64.deb

To receive future updates instead of downloading and installing the installer file,  you can use the official repo

Step 1: Download & install the Vivaldi repository keyring

  wget -qO- https://repo.vivaldi.com/archive/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add –

Step 2: Add Vivaldi repository

sudo add-apt-repository ‘deb https://repo.vivaldi.com/archive/deb/ stable main’

Step 3: Update the repository & install it

sudo apt update && apt install vivaldi-stable
